Andres, Director of Tennis at the Reno Tennis Center, has developed several junior players over the years who have gooe on to become world class players. Tiffany Eklov was ranked in the top 300 on the WTA international tour along with many other juniors that he has worked with who acquired world rankings. Prior to coming to the US to play Division 1 college tennis, Andres was a nationally ranked player in Spain throughout his junior career. Andres is USPTA certified and his expertise lies in developing sound technique for high level competitive tennis.
Paul Lam - Assistant Director, Tennis Pro
Paul, Assistant Director of Tennis at the Reno Tennis Center, has been a teaching pro for over 13 years. He has developed players of all ages and skill levels, specializing in helping juniors achieve superior levels of high school, college and tournament performance. Paul is a USPTA certified instructor who brings an unparalleled passion for sharing his knowledge and enjoyment of the game.
John Matkulak - Director of Tennis Academy, Tennis Pro
John taught at the world renowned Larry Hopman's International Tennis Academy in Florida before becoming Director of Tennis at Lakeridge Tennis Club. John is USPTA certified and has developed many nationally ranked juniors that went on to play division 1 tennis at the collegiate level. John's expertise lies not only within the technical aspects of the game but also with the psychological performance. While in college and on the pro tour, John had the privilege of working with well known Sport Psychologist Gary Beale in relaying peak performance training techniques to the game of tennis. As a player John was ranked top 10 throughout his junior career in Australia before coming over to play at the University of Nevada. He was #1 singles and doubles player all three years and team captain in 1986. John has also competed on the Professional Satellite Tour all over the world.
Evan Brown - Junior Tennis Coordinator, Tennis Pro
Evan was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY and moved to Reno in 2009. He was a member of the Baruch College tennis team in Manhattan, NY. Evan started teaching tennis at the age of 16 and has a strong background in kids tennis programs. He is USPTA certified and is currently the Junior Tennis Coordinator at the Reno Tennis Center where he helps run after school programs, spring and summer camps.
Rob Lizares - Tennis Pro
Rob was born in the Philippines and moved to Reno in 1987, where he attended Wooster High School. He has been playing tennis for 20 years and started teaching for Reno Tennis Center in 2004. Rob is USPTA certified and currently teaches the following programs at the Reno Tennis Center: Junior Team Tennis, Aerobic Tennis, and private lessons for adults and juniors.
Phil Capozziello - Tennis Pro
Phil was born and raised in Erie, PA and began playing tennis at the age of 14 on clay courts. He received professional instruction at the Pennbriar Tennis Center and competed in local tournaments and leagues. He and his wife moved to Reno in 1999. Phil has been teaching at Alpine Tennis for over 10 years and is USPTA certified. He is involved with adult classes, the tennis academy as well as group and private lessons.

Chris Ferguson-McIntyre - Tennis Pro
Chris was born and raised in Reno, NV. His father Carlo began bringing him out to the Reno Tennis Club when he was only 3 years old. Chris began playing tournaments in Northern California when he was 11 and he was a member of the 2001 Galena Grizzlies state champion team. At the time they were the first team from Northern Nevada to win a state title in 22 years. Chris also played for the University of NV, Reno during his freshman year and he still enjoys competing. Chris is USPTA certified and has coached the 10 and under program, team tennis, the academy, the adult beginner course, and he also offers private lessons.
Dane McQuivey - Tennis Pro
Dane grew up in the Reno/Tahoe area where he began playing tennis at around 10. He went on to play varsity tennis at McQueen High School. In recent years Dane has played several Nor-Cal tournaments and currently holds a 5.0 ranking. As well as being USPTA certified, Dane is in the process of finishing his bachelor's degree in Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno in order to further enhance his teaching ability and his knowledge of nutrition and fitness. Dane has been working at Alpine tennis since 2009 and has been involved in the Junior Tennis Programs as well as teaching private lessons.
Jarett Wright - Tennis Pro
Jarett grew up playing tennis in Reno and had top 50 National rankings throughout his junior career. Prior to joining the Academy he taught at Lakeridge for 7 years developing several top junior players with National rankings. He is USPTA certified as well as a High Performance Tennis Coach.
